Spring Lake ~ Friday 07.30.21

I took a little day trip down to Santa Rosa with a friend a few weeks ago.  We dropped her sweet brand new Acura off at the dealership to get its paint and upholstery protectant coatings applied and took a loaner Acura out to Spring Lake for a walk in the beautiful sunshine. We walked 3.5 miles in about an hour and a half and we chatted and we laughed and I took some photos and it was bliss.  It was a wonderful way to spend the morning out of the hideous heat Ukiah has been having the past couple of months.  It was sunny but cool with a little breeze and the lake was absolutely gorgeous.  There are a few more trails that we didn't get around to checking out so I definitely plan to go back and do it again soon.  The drive isn't too long and it's really nice to get out of town and out of the heat and be able to get a walk in since the weather at home has been too uncomfortable for walking or hiking lately.  

 After our walk, we went to Russian River Brewing Company for lunch and then did some shopping at Marshall's and Target while we waited for her car to be ready for pickup.  

All in all, a very enjoyable day.

Willits Skate Fest ~ May 4, 2019

I was so excited to attend this event and it did not disappoint.  Following my afternoon just six days prior at the Ukiah Skate Park, I was really looking forward to spending another day witnessing wizardry and taking more photos, this time at the Willits Skate Park.  It was a beautiful, sunny, blue sky day filled with skating, live music, food, and fun.  The day's festivities and skate competition were a fundraiser for shade at the Willits Skate Park and there were some amazing skaters competing. I really enjoyed being a part of the crowd and capturing the magic, and I feel extremely lucky to have witnessed these guys live and in action.  

They are awesome.
