Today was a interesting day. I woke up on the wrong side of the bed and was just generally out of sorts most of the day. I did make it outside for a walk on my morning break (thank you Danelle!) and I was so excited because I thought I was going to be able to take another walk at lunch. However after changing into my walking clothes and donning my parka I discovered that it was raining quite a bit harder than I thought. This did not help my rather cranky mood . . . I really wanted and needed that walk. I returned to my office, changed back into my work clothes, and dove into work. I promised myself that if I could make it home by 6pm I would do a strength workout at the Logan Sanctuary home gym. I ended up being able to get home just before 6pm and managed to muster the discipline to change into my workout clothes. After a fair amount of grumbling I got started and once I was in the groove I felt so much better. I ended up doing a full round of exercises and then 3.50 miles on my treadmill. I even unearthed a few of the leftover boxes from my move last year and started unpacking, emptying, sorting, throwing out, adding to the giveaway pile, and putting away. Thanks to endorphins and accomplishing a small piece of my highly procrastinated to-do tasks, what seemed like a very cranky day ended with feeling amazing.
