Daily Wandering ~ Thriving Thursday 03.30.23

Another Thriving Thursday outing with my beautiful walking buddy Laurie. It was wonderful as always to get out in the fresh air and sunshine and spend time chatting and laughing and connecting.  It's always a rejuvenating way to spend a lunchtime . . . an hour never seems like quite enough time.

I'm sad to see the last of the cherry blossom petals falling.  I so enjoy watching them every spring and always feel melancholy when their time is up which means I must wait almost a year before I see them again.  However it also means soon there will be lupin and I'm looking foward to the purple hued blooms that are my favorite wildflower.

Daily Wanderings ~ Tuesday/Wednesday 03.28/29.23

I am generally a big fan of rainy days but I have to admit I've just about had it with the gloomy, wet weather.  I know we need it desperately and I'm so grateful we've had lots of moisture this season, but I'm kind of over it.  I'm longing for sunny days and blooming flowers.  This week I decided I needed to get outdoors despite the damp and I was determined I would not miss my walks over a small amount of rain.  So I donned my parka and braved the weather, crossing my fingers and hoping for no downpours.  Yesterday and today were a great success and I'm so glad I went.  It was chilly with minor occassional showers, but it was beautiful out there and really helped my state of mind to get out in the fresh air and get moving. Tomorrow's forecast looks dry so my usual Walking Wednesday date shifted to a Thriving Thursday walk to take advantage of the change and I'm looking forward to girl time with my lovely walking partner Laurie.

While I am NOT looking foward to summer (I hate the heat!) I will be grateful for the arrival of some slightly warmer days, both for the feel of sun on my skin and for the appearance of the spring flowers I have been anxiously awaiting.

Daily Wandering ~ Monday 03.27.23

Today was a blustery day but I knew that rain was in the forecast and I wanted to get in a Daily Wandering in case I might not be able to walk the next few days. I noticed some newly blooming flowers along my usual route and a pink flowering fruit tree on an added section of today's wandering. There was a fair amount of fall-type wind blowing leaves across the pavement and I enjoyed the sight and sound as well as the feeling of my hair being lifted and blown about. It was a very pleasant outing.
