On May 20th I hiked to the U for the first time since I was in elementary school. I was really nervous about whether I'd be able to handle the hike but also very excited to see if I'd be able to make it all the way up and enjoy the view from the top. Spoiler: I DID!! and I've managed it twice more. Every time feels like such an accomplishment and I plan to continue hiking often with this group and hopefully add treks with other friends too.
I am blessed to have a friend who knew the route since I had no idea how to get there. I'm grateful that in addition to the U Trail, I now also know how to reach the City View Trail. I've enjoyed several other hikes, both solo and with friends, along that route and it has definitely become a favorite outing for me.
Many thanks to Rosie for putting together the hiking group and for allowing me to join. I have really enjoyed the three trips I've made to the top with you all and am looking forward to our next trek.
