Day 3 ~ Monday July 24, 2023

We reached our first port of Juneau, Alaska.  Uncle Chuck, Aunt Tina, Virginia, Scott, and I shared a taxi van to Mendenhall Glacier Visitor Center to see the glacier and hike to Nugget Falls.  We ended up running into David and Gage who had taken a Princess excursion to the same location, which was an awesome surprise.  The weather was perfect, blue skies with fluffy white clouds, not too hot and not too cold.  We hiked a trail out to the waterfall and spent some time taking photos, chatting, and enjoying the scenery and the company.  On our way back to the visitor center and gift shop we walked the beach along the lake edge.  After wandering around checking out the displays and buying some souvenirs we waited for our taxi to arrive and return us to Juneau.  Once back in town we had a late lunch/early dinner at the Red Dog Saloon and wandered through some shops before returning to the ship for the night.

Highlight of the day: Hiking with my family (finally!!)
